picture says it all. the brisket was phenomenal better than dinosaur bbq which is all i have to compare it to recently.

I highly recommend Big Daddy’s BBQ. Authentic Southern Soul Food in Rockland! My partner is from the south and he is always looking for a great southern smoked brisket with all the fixins. Well is safe to say we found our new spot close to home! The service was excellent and the food was good. The Smokey, juicy and well-seasoned meats with all the yummy sides was incredibly delicious. The portions are decent and the price is decent. We had Brisket, Pull pork, Jerk Chicken, Fried Chicken, Potato salad, Mac and cheese, candied yams, collard greens and corn bread. The cooks season truly takes your tastebuds to home cooked meal from the Carolinas. I can’t wait to go back to try out the rest of the menu.

Definitely hands down the best old school BBQ spot in Rockland. Staff and owner are good down to earth people and the homemade BBQ sauce they have needs to be patented lol. My go to is the BBQ grilled chicken but trust me it's all good.

Whenever I am in the Haverstraw area, I HAVE to stop at Big Daddy's. My absolute favorite thing on the menu is the corn fritters (little crunchy sweet pieces of heaven), closely followed by the corn souffle; but everything that I've ever tried from there is delicious. We're big fans of the brisket, the pulled pork, the Mac & cheese, and the Soul Food Parfaits. The staff is always friendly, the food is ready when they say it is and never disappoints. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for BBQ.

Local place. Atmosphere more suited to pick up than eat in. The food was fantastic. Got the brisket (amazing ) and the ribs, plus 2 sides and corn bread. Enough for another meal. Both were smoked perfectly and had a nice crust on the outside. Enough sauce to flavor but not overpower. Will go back again when in the area.

Super amazing food! I came up from the city to ride trails. Heading back i found BBQ here on maps and thought i had to try. So glad I did! Got the pulled pork diner with mac N cheese and coleslaw. Everything was fantastic, great price also! The 1 worker I saw was tremendous, very fast and tentative to the short line. Cant wait to come back!

Okay, so far I love what I did purchase from here. Everything was seasoned and the Ribs, pulled pork had the smoke needed to make it flavorful. The mac and cheese was the perfect blend of pasta and cheese and was delicious. The collard greens had just enough of a slight vinegar taste along with turkey smokiness. The corn souffle was tasty and the cornbread was very good. The only con that I discovered was the corn fritter was too greasy. The Caribbean spiced chicken is ghost pepper hot, so be cautious... if you can't handle it, don't get it. Now this will become a goto spot for that southern food craving. Now this small place has what it takes with their flavor profiles and well seasoned foods to go toe to toe with any large competitors. I recently tried Brothers Smokehouse in Ramsey, NJ and wasn't impressed so I have to say they are new, but all the positive reviewers may not have tasted true southern pit smoked BBQ or those well seasoned sides. I will say give Big Daddy's Home Plate a try and you surely will not be disappointed.

This is the real deal soul food! I had an amazing experience catering through them for a large event and the food was a home run! I cannot recommend their services enough. Not only was the food incredible the service was excellent. Each person I came in contact with was incredibly kind and helpful. I would absolutely recommend using them for catering! My guests are still raving about the food. A huge thank you to James the owner for helping me out on such a busy holiday weekend!
